Gary SouthShore 2, Lincoln 1 (F/12)- Box Score
The Gary SouthShore RailCats ended a 12-inning marathon with a walk-off home run on Tuesday.
The RailCats made it 1-0 in the bottom of the first when Colin Willis stroked an RBI double. Gary SouthShore’s starter, Gabe Perez held the Lincoln Saltdogs scoreless through eight before turning the ball over to the bullpen.
In the top of the ninth, the Saltdogs took advantage, tying the game with an RBI single Curt Smith.
The game remained tied until Tillman Pugh hit a solo home run to end the game in the bottom of the 12th.
Chicago 12, Fargo-Moorhead 7- Box Score
The Chicago Dogs topped the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks in a game that finished in 4 hours 26 minutes, just six minutes shy of tying the league’s record for longest nine-inning game.
Kenny Wilson, Trey Vavra, and Stephen Perez all homered for the Dogs. Perez and Dalton Blaser both went 3-for-5 with three RBIs for Chicago.
Devan Ahart went 4-for-5 at the plate for the RedHawks and Derrick Fox drove in three runners.
Wichita 3, Sioux City 0- Box Score
The Wichita Wingnuts shutdown the Sioux City Explorers in a 3-0 win on Tuesday.
Travis Banwart (6-3) walked one and allowed just three hits while striking out seven during his eight-inning start for the Wingnuts. Logan Watkins (3-for-4) and Abel Nieves (1-for-4) both drove in runners for Wichita.
Daniel Tillman pitched a scoreless ninth to earn the save.
Sioux Falls 7, St. Paul 5- Box Score
The Sioux Falls Canaries edged the St. Paul Saints 7-5 on Tuesday.
Mitch Glasser (2-for-3) led the Canaries with three RBIs. Chris Grayson also had a big night, going 2-for-4 with three runs scored and an RBI.
Nathaniel Maggio clubbed a three-run home run for the Saints, his fourth of the season.
Kansas City 6, Texas 4- Box Score
The Kansas City T-Bones used six pitchers in a 6-4 win over the Texas AirHogs on Tuesday.
Barrett Astin (2.1 innings), Pasquale Mazzoccoli (2.1), Jackson Lowery (1), Kevin Hill (1), Marcus Crescentini (1), and Cody Winiarski (1) all pitched for the T-Bones.
Colin Walsh (2-for-4) and Keith Curcio (2-for-4) both hit solo home runs for Kansas City. Noah Perio Jr. went 3-for-4 with an RBI and Adrian Nieto went 1-for-4 with two RBIs.
Winnipeg 7, Cleburne 1- Box Score
The Winnipeg Goldeyes had a strong showing in a 7-1 win over the Cleburne Railroaders on Tuesday.
Goldeyes’ starter Mitchell Lambson allowed just one run in 7.1 innings of work to earn the win.
On the offensive side, Matt McCann (1-for-3), Reggie Abercrombie (2-for-4), and Dexter Kjerstad (2-for-4) all batted in a runner for Winnipeg. Josh Romanski and Josh McAdams each drove in a pair.
