SOLOMON'S BIG OUTING EARNS HIM PITCHER OF THE WEEK

DURHAM, NC- The official statistician of the American Association, Pointstreak, has announced that Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks LHP Will Solomon (pictured) has been named this week’s Pointstreak Pitcher of the Week for the week ending July 16.

Solomon was dominant in his lone start this week. On Thursday, he took the mound at home to face the Kansas City T-Bones. Over eight shutout innings, he scattered three hits and three runs, striking out six. Fargo-Moorhead earned a 1-0 win in the game.

Solomon is now 4-1 on the season with a 3.01 ERA over 14 appearances, seven of them coming as starts. He has struck out 38 in 56.2 innings.

2017 marks Solomon’s second season pitching for Fargo-Moorhead. He was 6-3 with a 5.14 ERA in 16 games last season. The Columbus, Ga. native pitched collegiately at Georgia Gwinnett College and Kennesaw State University before joining the professional ranks.

The RedHawks enjoy an off day today before heading to Sioux Falls, S.D. to open a road series at the Sioux Falls Canaries at 7:05 p.m. Central time on Tuesday night. The series can be seen live and for free at www.americanassociationbaseball.tv.
