Chad Tredaway is in his third season as manager of the Fort Worth Cats. Tredaway, 38, led the Cats to their fifth consecutive playoff berth in 2009. He spent 2006-2007 as the Director of Baseball Operations for the Coastal Bend Aviators. Tredaway managed the Edinburg Roadrunners in the Central Baseball League from 2001-2004 and was named the league’s Manager of the Year all four years. He led the Roadrunners to the playoffs during every year of his tenure, winning championships in 2001 and 2004.
Tredaway, a native of Edinburg, TX, attended Seminole Jr. College from 1991-1992 where he was the National Junior College Player of the Year in 1992 and first team All-American. He was a 16th round draft pick of the Chicago Cubs and played in their farm system until he was traded to the Padres in 1995 for San Diego manager Jim Riggleman. Chad played for two seasons in the San Diego organization for Triple A Las Vegas. He also spent two years in the Mexican League. |
