BOURQUIN PROPELS REDHAWKS PAST RAILCATS

In a game that began as a pitchers’ duel, the RedHawks avoided a sweep at the hands of the RailCats. 3B Ron Bourquin, recently moved up the lineup to the leadoff spot, hit a two-run home run in the top of the sixth inning for the RedHawks, scoring DH Dusty Robinson, who had singled before him.

Gary DH Ryan Babineau drove in C Craig Maddox with a double in the bottom of the sixth. Bourquin doubled in the ninth and scored an insurance run on an RBI single by 2B C.J. Retherford.

Bourquin was 3-for-5, notching half of Fargo-Moorhead’s hits. All-Star 3B Daniel Pulfer, LF Cody Bishop and Babineau had three hits apiece. RHP Curtis Camilli struck out five over seven innings to earn the win for the RedHawks. RHP Nate Garcia worked around a walk in the ninth for his 13th save of the season.
