Cleburne 12, Fargo-Moorhead 9 (12 Innings) – Box Score

With a three-run home run from RF Hunter Clanin, the Cleburne Railroaders walked off on the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks 12-9 in 12 innings.

Both Rosa and C John Nester were hit by pitches, setting the stage for Clanin (3-for-5), who turned on the first pitch he saw for a walk-off homer. It was Clanin’s first roundtripper of the year.

Simpson’s blast was his sixth of the young season and Meimerstorf also homered in the game, giving him three for the season.

For the RedHawks, 3B Leobaldo Pina went 3-for-5 with two home runs and five RBIs and 1B Chris Jacobs, 2B T.J. Bennett and SS Yhoxian Medina each added two hits apiece.

Lincoln 6, St. Paul 3 – Box Score

A four-run third inning proved to be the difference as the Lincoln Saltdogs (6-6) topped the St. Paul Saints 6-3.

The Saints struck first with a RF Max Murphy (2-for-4) RBI single in the first inning but the Saltdogs equalized in the second as 3B Christian Ibarra drew a bases-loaded walk. DH Brady Shoemaker (2-for-4) pushed the Saints briefly back in front with a solo home run in the top of the third but Lincoln’s 1B Cody Regis (3-for-4) hit a lead-off home run in the bottom of the inning to tie things back up. Three batters later, LF Nick Schulz (2-for-3) doubled in a pair of runs and eventually came around to score when SS Ivan Marin (2-for-3) singled later in the inning.

The Saltdogs never relinquished that lead thanks to the efforts of the pitching staff. Starting pitcher Nick Tepesch (3-0) earned the win for working seven innings and allowing two earned runs on seven hits while striking out five batters. Reliever Cameron McVey picked up the save by working the ninth without giving up a hit and striking out two batters.
