DURHAM, NC- The official statistician of the American Association, Pointstreak, has announced that Wichita Wingnuts OF Brent Clevlen (pictured) has been named this week’s Pointstreak Player of the Week for the week ending August 3.

Clevelen began his week last week by starting in the American Association All-Star Game in Winnipeg, helping the South All-Stars defeat the North by a score of 7-0.  Once the season picked back up on Wednesday, Clevelen put together an impressive 12-for-17 stretch in four games to close the week. After a 1-for-3 night on Thursday, Clevlen was 4-for-5 with two home runs, six RBI and three runs scored in a 12-5 Wingnuts win over the St. Paul Saints.
